The BBC's Made of Here campaign is sending its love to Glasgow on Valentine's Day, showcasing the city's rich history and its impact on beloved BBC programs. From the iconic comedy of Billy Connolly to the hilarious misadventures of Jack and Victor in Still Game, Glasgow has been a breeding ground for exceptional storytelling. And let's not forget the fresh and exciting writing in Dinosaur, which has captured the hearts of audiences.
A City of Stories
The extensive multimedia campaign will take over billboards, press, and cinemas across Glasgow, with exciting experiential activities to engage viewers. This campaign coincides with the return of the award-winning series Dinosaur, now available on BBC iPlayer, BBC Scotland, and BBC Three. Ashley Storrie, the star, co-creator, and writer of the series, raves about Glasgow's charm, calling it "one of the greatest experiences in the world." She adds, "Glasgow has a starring role in Dinosaur, and it's thrilling to see it featured in this BBC campaign."
Scotland's Turn to Shine
In addition to the Glasgow focus, audiences across Scotland will be treated to a new BBC brand film, Made of Scotland. This film celebrates the diverse storytelling across the country, featuring titles like Rebus, Highland Cops, and more. Made of Here is an initiative to highlight the BBC's support for homegrown talent, with previous campaigns in Liverpool and Birmingham. Now, it's Glasgow and Scotland's time to take center stage.
