Aneesh Kumar Adukkadukkan, an accounts manager and Indian national, had placed his black backpack—containing an iPhone 16 Pro Max (GH¢21,000), a Samsung A55 (GH¢8,500), a Samsung A54 (GH¢7,500), and a tracker (GH¢1,500)—on a table. Moments later, it disappeared.
The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Benson Benneh, revealed that police initially traced the items to Kwame Nkrumah Circle but hit a dead end. It was the tracker that ultimately led them to Kasoa Amanfrom, where Agbey was apprehended. During the court proceedings, presided over by Judge Kwabena Kodua Obiri-Yeboah, it was disclosed that Agbey confessed to sneaking into the event and stealing the backpack.
